Former HBO Head Chris Albrecht Joins IMG

Former Chairmen and CEO of HBO, Chris Albrecht

In what marks a huge loss to the creative world of television, Chris Albrecht, the mastermind who spearheaded the emergence of HBO and redefined the role of television in America has signed a deal with talent agency International Media Group (IMG).

Albrecht will be working as the global head of marketing for IMG, the world's largest marketing and management firm. Among IMG most notable clients are Major League Baseball, Tiger Woods, the Grammy Awards, Wimbledon and the U.S. Olympic Committee.

While it's good to see Albrecht find work, the fact that he never made his way back to HBO and didn't land at another cable network is unfortunate.
