Project Runway: (Bravo, 10 pm) From the previews featuring the designers standing in front of an enormous warehouse/storehouse, it looks like the producers are channeling the recycling “Waste Not, Want Not” challenge of Season 3. However, we’ve learned that the task tonight involves creating an original design using assorted colored and textured denim.
The Moment of Truth: (Fox, 9 pm) “Have you ever suspected your wife of cheating on you?” booms the voice of Temptation Islands Mark Walberg to a noticeably sweaty contestant - who is, mind you, facing his wife while hooked up to a lie detector - on tonight’s series premiere of the new Fox reality show that forces people to answer the most uncomfortable questions while their answers are recorded on a lie detector machine. So, after the most agonizing pause, what is his response? Tune in tonight to find out!
Criminal Minds: (CBS, 9 pm) A self-storage unit is found to contain the makings of a serial killer, and the team must profile what’s left behind to try to catch the murderer. Look forward to being creeped out for the last time this winter as tonight’s episode marks another early season ender as part of writers strike backlash.
Wife Swap: (ABC, 8 pm) Tonights episode is magical. Literally. Watch as an uptight suburban mom gets swapped into a family of magicians! YES! We couldn’t make this up! OMG can WE get switched into a magical family? We’re so tired of living amongst all these Muggles.
Pioneers of Television: (PBS, 8 pm) This series is spectacular, highlighting the contributions of many different early Television pioneers in the genres of Sitcoms, Late Night, Variety, and finally concluding with tonight’s episode - Game Shows. Bob Barker discusses his early works along with rare backstage footage of the Price is Right. Merv Griffin talks about what led him to create powerhouses like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and our favorite Golden Girl Betty White discusses her first emcee job. We wonder today’s dime-a-dozen game show hosts will wind up with the same kind of careers and influence as these stars.
