News: Big Changes For Weeds

Blog-Weeds-Picnic.jpg

June 16th marks the season four premiere of Showtime's smoking hit dramedy Weeds, and the NY Post is reporting big changes coming down the line. First up, "Little Boxes," the opening theme sung by various different artists each season, is out. What's the reason behind the "ticky tacky" switch? Last season the town of Agrestic was destroyed by a fire and Nancy Botwin (Mary Louise Parker) will be living somewhere a bit more rundown on the Mexican border, the new yet-to-be disclosed theme will be a bit more suited to that location. Next up? Mary Kate Olsen and Matthew Modine, and regulars Conrad (Romany Malco) and Heylia James (Tonye Patano) won't be back. What gives? According to the show's executive producer Roberto Benabib: "They have moved because [Nancy's] life as a drug dealer has taken twists and turns, what began in the original pilot as a suburban housewife who was making ends meet by dealing dime bags has turned into the story of a woman who is a drug dealer. As she's changed the show has changed."

Can't wait another month for a Weeds fix? Then put this in your pipe and smoke it!
