News: Leno's Late Nights Are Numbered

At yesterday's scaled-down upfront presentation, NBC Entertainment co-chairman Ben Silverman confirmed what everyone has spoken about for nearly two years. With Conan O'Brien set to move into the Late Night hosting chair and Jimmy Fallon officially confirmed as O'Brien's 12:30 am replacement, Jay Leno is out of a job -- and apparently out of a network. The NY Times' Bill Cater reports that when Silverman was asked whether NBC will keep Leno after his contract is up in 2010, Silverman said, "I think it's a reach." One can only imagine the smile that put on the of Fox TV entertainment president Peter Ligouri and his late night exec Todd Yasui.
