Two days ago Barbara Walters was promoting her new autobiography "Audition" on Oprah [watch this video of Walters opening up to the Big O], and the TV icon blasted her former View colleague, Star Jones, for lying about her gastric bypass operation, among other things, and forcing Walters to cover up for her. Yesterday, Jones volleyed back, telling Us magazine, “It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character.” Ouch. But Star, oh Star, this is one fight you can't win.
