Camp Rock: (Disney, 8 PM) Just like that other Disney Channel tween dance/singathon High School Musical, the hope is that Camp Rock will spin the singing/acting sibling trio known as The Jonas Brothers into the stratosphere of superstardom, and based on fans reactions so far, it's looking pretty good for the bros. Set at a fancy summer camp for aspiring musicians, Rock stars Demi Lovato as Mitchie, the talented but poor girl whose crafty mother gets her in camp by offering to wash dishes in the kitchen. Once there, Mitchie meets Shane Grey (Joe Jonas), a successful but arrogant musician who's returned to Camp Rock with his brothers to tone down his ego. A romance blossoms (obvs) and in typical Disney fashion, morals are imparted.
The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards: (ABC, 8 PM) Cameron Mathison and Sherri Shepherd host, and a lifetime achievement award is bestowed on Reeg. [Check out Fancast's predictions right here!]
