The fabulous Miss Eva Longoria was at today's Television Critic's Association's ABC Panel promoting the new season of Desperate Housewives, sitting alongside show creator Marc Cherry and her castmates. Gone were her flowing locks of luxurious hair as she sported a close-cut bob. Turns out the new do' has less to do with her own wishes and more to do with the show's upcoming plot, which has Eva's character frumpying it up. "Mark wanted her to have a mom haircut and let herself go," She said about her character's transformation for the new season, which takes audiences five years into the future. "She’s had two kids and she’s let go of that vanity for the past five years. So we brainstormed with hair and makeup and wardrobe, doing different fittings. That’s why I wanted to cut my hair, because I didn’t wanna wear a wig…I had stomach pads and butt pads and boob pads."
Marc Cherry let Fancast in on the goings on outside of the set. The cast and crew does hang out, he said, but Eva tends to opt out because of her busy schedule. "She's a jet setter, always going over the world" said Cherry.
