If you caught the show last night, you know that Donna has stepped off the train that is Ghost Hunters International for awhile to make sure her health is taken care of. I can report that Donna is MUCH better and is feeling great. Donna was an incredible member of this team.

If you haven’t seen her in action, make sure to check our “fortress of Fear” episode here. I will be joining Donna and many others from the GHI crew this weekend at Tapscon, and I am certainly looking forward to that. Now, as promised, I’d like to answer some questions!

Misty posed some great questions after my blog on Tuesday, and hear are the answers. Yes, never in May, 7, and green. Okay, okay, bad joke. It’s late! Misty’s first question is how I got started on GHI. The answer is that I was a member (and still am) of Florida Ghost Team. Florida Ghost Team is a TAPS family member team. This means that we belong to a network of teams started by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of Ghost Hunters.

[Watch GHI videos.]

After three years with the team I was serving as assistant director under founder Shaun Jones when my phone rang and I was asked if I was interested in joining GHI. I initially said no because I had been traveling quite a bit and the idea of even more travel sounded crazy at the time, but the thought of looking for ghosts all over the world just sounded too tempting. Man, looking back, I’m not sure I knew what I was getting myself into!

Misty’s next question is if any of the GHI members will be at conventions with Jason and Grant. The answer is a big yes. As I said before, I will be at Tapscon representing GHI along with Donna, Barry, and Dustin. That is this upcoming weekend in Tampa. I will also be appearing at Scarefest in Lexington Kentucky with Barry, Shannon, and Dustin.

Dustin and I will also join Jay, Grant, Steve, Tango, and Kris at Dragoncon this year as well. I know that a lot of the GHI members have a lot of events coming up as well that are usually listed on their Myspace pages. If you go to my Myspace page, you will find all of the GHI members, past and present, on my top friends list. Wow! That’s a lot of shameless self-promotion! Thanks for that question Misty! I should be paying you for asking it!

Misty’s last question involves Brian Harnois. The question is about he worked with the team after he had a bit of drama on Ghost Hunters. Brian would often say that people like him or hate him. I can’t say I fit into either of those camps. I like him. Brian is a nice guy who has a HUGE passion for four things: His fiancé Michelle, his daughter, ghost hunting, and Star Wars.

He is a fun guy to hang around with as he has a great sense of humor, and cracks me up all the time. Some people have accused him of saying he sees shadows when he didn’t. I don’t buy that. Brian loves this field and I don’t think he would EVER lie about what he has seen. Brian saw something at an upcoming episode in Ireland, and I know it’s true because I saw it too. Have Brian and I had our share of dust ups? Sure. We have bumped heads several times, but it has always ended amicably. So, love him or hate him. He’s still going to be Brian! You can always check out what Brian is up to on his own website.

Thanks for the great questions Misty! I also wanted to talk about some of the craziness that is coming up in the next couple episodes. The team shake up isn’t quite over, and you will certainly see how most of it played out next week! You will also see the GHI team try their luck in South Africa, Ireland, Romania, Slovakia, etc! I am really looking forward to seeing a couple of cases on television.

There are two castles where some really strange things went down….and we have the evidence to prove it! I can’t believe that is almost time to say goodbye to my blogs here at Fancast. I know I get one more day tomorrow to answer some more questions, talk in greater depth about last night’s episode, and drop a few more gems about the upcoming episodes, but I would like to make sure I thank the people here at Fancast who have made this such a fun experience. I’ll join you you all here tomorrow for one more blog with yours truly, and thanks for reading!

Teri Folks:

Rob,
First of all, my whole family loves GH and GHI. I have a ?? about Wed. episode?? Y'all mentioned the green man several times and how it was weird to find in a church, but all the online research I did, said it was very common to see them in English churches?? I can't wait to see more!!!

Kristine Bakken:

Hi!
I really have been enjoying your show, and love both GH and GHI.
I was wondering how Donna was doing, and am glad to hear she is doing much better. Will she be rejoining the show any time soon?? Also what happened to Brian, he was on the first half of the show and off the next. I hope he is okay. Is he just taking a break or what??
Also heard some disturbing news, that SciFi was dropping GH.
Is this true?? I hope not I really enjoy both of the shows and want more, not less.
Thanks for some great shows, am looking forward to the rest of the season.

Jenny:

i stopped watching gh because jason fast became too much of a blowhard, it was no longer enjoyable to sit for an hour and watch him abuse others. plus it became harder not to see him as a con man. i only watched ghi because it included brian, andy and donna. if it has become a gh clone, i won't watch it any more.

sci fi please dump the jason hawes franchise, it's a bad joke.
