Fancast Preview: OMG Sexy Gossip Girl Promos

gossipgirl.jpg

Like almost everyone else, we don't like commercials. But here are three exceptions. They're promos for the return of original Gossip Girl episodes, and these 16 second spots are pretty darn close to soft-core peeps shows. If that's your thing, or if you simply admire well-produced, fast-cut marketing campaigns featuring hot young thangs, then click here for the OMG slide show, click here for the OMG "confession," and finally click here for the OMG Cexy. And then do it again. Don't be embarrassed. Everyone does.

News: Gossip Girl To Get Extended Season

Blog-Gossip-Girl-Cast-Fountain.jpg

According to E!'s Watch With Kristin, Gossip Girl will be getting an extended 24-episode season next year in order to compensate for this year's strike-halted season. "'I just hung out with Leighton Meester on the set of Entourage (she's there shooting a guest stint for the HBO comedy's upcoming season), and she told me they're planning to shoot Gossip Girl in the Hamptons at the beginning of season two. 'Cause you gotta go to the Hamptons, right?' she said with a giggle. 'And, by the way, we aren't shooting in Staten Island like they did on Sex and the City. We're shooting in the real Hamptons.' Touché, Carrie & Co.!"

As if that weren't enough, get ready to OMG your way through this preview clip of Monday's new episode. Could Serena and Dan really be over???

Gossip Girl: The Spinoff?

041708-gossip.jpg

Gossip Girl is multiplying like a little alien beast! It may be spinning off into a new series set in a girl's boarding school and sources say either Taylor Momsen will be its focus, or writers will introduce a whole new GG character in the fall who would then be written into the new show. Reuters explains the plot in the book series, which may give away the possible plot:

Jenny is a self-esteem-challenged outsider who struggles to fit in. In the books, as the result of a series of public embarrassments (such as appearing in a teen magazine wearing next to nothing), Jenny must repeat ninth grade or find a new school. She elects to enter a boarding school and reinvents herself as a popular girl. Her story is told in a series of six "Gossip" spinoff novels called "The It Girl." [Reuters]

Blake Lively: "I Want To Bake Taylor Momsen a Cupcake"

051408-gossip.jpg

Blake Lively talks to Seventeen magazine about on-set relationships for the magazine's August issue. But is she really talking about her own relationship to Penn Badgley? The magazine asked her how two stars might fall in love, and she responded, "Maybe when they kiss off the set — because it’s definitely not romantic on the set, that’s for sure," she said. "When you’re saying these words that people are making you say to one another, nothing about it is real or genuine. So if two people connect outside their characters, then that’s how they get together." [US Weekly]

What are her co-stars really like?

Penn Badgley: "Penn does these silly dance moves, and he's very witty and quick, so it's fun to have sharp banter with him."

Chace Crawford: "Chace does an amazing impression of Scott Stapp from Creed."

Ed Westwick and Taylor Momsen: "Ed is always singing. Taylor is just so adorable, I just want to bake her a cupcake."
