Yesterday, one of our colleagues in Fancast headquarters worked herself into a froth of anticipation while talking about the February 2 debut of Lipstick Jungle, NBC's sexy new drama based on Candace Bushnell's bestseller. Brooke Shields and Candace Bushnell Name Their Favorite Femme-Centric TV Shows

Power babes Brooke Shields and Candace Bushnell have teamed up on Lipstick Jungle, NBC’s new series about three high-powered ladies who support each other through the thick and thin of life, marriage and career in NY. With estrogen poised to power the hour, we asked Shields and Bushnell what their favorite female-centric shows of all time were, and here's what they told us:

I Love Lucy
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
Sex and the City (“Of course,” said Bushnell)
Judging Amy
The Flying Nun (they mentioned this last one with a laugh)

Interview: Lipstick Jungle's Kim Raver, Lindsay Price and Andrew McCarthy

Too bad reviews have been abysmally bad for tonight's premiere of NBC's sexy new series Lipstick Jungle. We recently chated with three of Lipstick's stars and found Lindsay Price, Kim Raver, and Andrew McCarthy as personable as they are attractive.

Kim on her character Nico:
For me, with Nico I love that she’s not afraid to speak her mind. She’s unedited and she doesn’t apologize for who she is, which I think that’s, you know, a main key in who she is.

Lindsay on her character Victory:
I think the thing I like the most about Victory is that she is successful in the business
world but she doesn’t make any apologies for wearing her heart on her sleeve or being an emotional person, or maybe sometimes not being the most censored or reserved with what she has to say. She doesn’t make any apologies for her femininity also - being in a competitive, sort of cutthroat business.
